Who Are The Rightful Owners of Palestine

The Western world's pro-Israelism

The reality of the Promised Land

Today’s Jews, or the so-called Israelites, have occupied Palestine on the basis of some baseless claim. They claim that they are the real rightful owners of Palestine. They believe that Allah Almighty had promised the land of Palestine to Sayyiduna Abraham (peace be upon him). This is why the Jews call the land of Palestine “The Promised Land” and in English (The Promised Land), meaning “the land that was promised.” Then they link their history with the land of Palestine in such a way that their great-grandfather Sayyiduna Abraham (peace be upon him) was given this land.

Once upon a time, Jews were found on this land, their ancestors ruled this land for a period, their temple was built on this land, the tomb of Hazrat David (peace be upon him) is on this land, their sacred “Wailing Wall” is on this land to the west of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, they have a spiritual connection with this land and that land is sacred to them, etc.

In today’s world, just as many other ideas, ideologies, and followers of civilizations have the freedom to express their ideas, ideologies, and beliefs, Jews also have the full right and freedom to express their ideas, ideologies, and beliefs, but they do not have the right to impose their ideas and ideologies on others and bind them to others. Followers of any religion and nation, including Jews, do not have the right to expel any people from their homes, occupy their places of worship, usurp their ancestral land, usurp their houses and shops, and build houses there and hand them over to followers of their own religion and beliefs.

If someone does this, it is a moral, social, and legal crime. The Jews believe that Allah Almighty promised the land of Palestine to Sayyiduna Abraham (peace be upon him). The basis for this is the following sayings:

Allah Almighty said to Abraham (peace be upon him), ‘Leave your country, your people and your father’s family and go to the place that I will show you. (Genesis: 12:1).

And:

Allah Almighty appeared to Sayyiduna Abraham (peace be upon him) and said: ‘To your descendants I will give this land. (Genesis: 12:7)

In addition to these passages, the Jews call Palestine the “Promised Land” and claim their right to it with the help of some other passages found in the Torah. Regarding the reality of the Promised Land, the Pope of Christians holds the view that the promise is very doubtful. Christian scholars believe that the promise in the Bible is conditional on many conditions, but the Jews disobeyed Allah, did not fulfill these conditions and started committing atrocities in this land; So Allah punished the Jews; so now this promise no longer has any importance.  (For details, see: Al-Quds Qaziyyah Kal Muslim by Dr. Yusuf Al-Qarzawi, pp. 76-80).

The Children of Israel’s Refusal to Enter Palestine and the Punishment for It

There is no doubt that the Children of Israel were stubborn, rebellious, criminal and wretched people. They disobeyed him not only after Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), but also during his lifetime and refused to obey God’s commands. The conditions in Egypt were not favorable for the Children of Israel. The ruler of Egypt, Pharaoh, had enslaved them.

They spent four hundred and thirty years in Egypt in great misery, then a time came when Allah Almighty drowned Pharaoh and his army and commanded the Children of Israel to go and settle in Palestine, which had been destined for them. (But this does not mean that Allah Almighty has made Palestine the “Promised Land” for the Children of Israel forever and they will always live in Palestine, as the Jews believe).

The nation that occupied Palestine at that time was known as the Amalekites and they were infidels, so the Children of Israel had to wage jihad against them. Allah Almighty had promised that the Children of Israel would be victorious in Jihad. Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) set out for Palestine in accordance with this order. When these people approached Palestine, it was discovered that the Amalekites were a powerful and powerful people, so the Children of Israel feared defeat and forgot that Allah Almighty had promised the Children of Israel victory and that Allah’s promise would be fulfilled; therefore, the Children of Israel refused to enter Palestine and were punished for it.

When Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) told the Children of Israel to move towards Palestine; so the children of Israel answered them: “They said, ‘O Moses, we will never enter it as long as they remain therein. So go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are here already.” (Al-Ma’idah: 24) Translation: “They said, ‘O Moses, we will never enter it as long as they remain therein. So go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we will not flee from here.’” (Al-Ma’idah: 24) Translation: “They said, ‘O Moses, we will never enter it as long as they remain therein. So go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we will not flee from here.’” Due to this rude response and disobedience of the children of Israel, Allah Almighty punished them.

The punishment was that their entry into Palestine was prohibited for forty years.  These people wandered in a small area of the Sinai Desert, the Plain of Tiah. They could neither move forward nor return to Egypt. They walked all day, and when evening came, they would reach the same place from which they had left in the morning.

The Holy Quran states:

“He said, ‘This land will not be theirs for forty years, wandering in the land, so do not grieve over the rebellious people.’” (Al-Ma’idah: 26)

Translation: “Then it was said, ‘This land will not be theirs for forty years, wandering in the land, so do not grieve over the rebellious people.’”

The Holy Quran describes the refusal of the Children of Israel to enter Palestine, their disobedience, and the punishment they received for it in these two verses.

For 7 Hundred Years

The Israelites did not own even a single inch of land in Palestine

It is worth mentioning that from the time of the migration of Sayyiduna Abraham (peace be upon him), to the time of Sayyiduna Isaac (peace be upon him), then the time of Yaqub (peace be upon him), then his migration to Egypt with his family, then the return of the Israelites to Palestine after four hundred and thirty years and the wandering in the plains of the Sinai Desert for forty years as punishment, this is a long period of almost “seven hundred years”. According to the explanation of the Torah, during this period, the descendants of Sayyiduna Abraham (peace be upon him) and the Israelites did not own even a single inch of the land of Palestine.

Land of Palestine - Rightful Owners of Palestine

This is an important question that if Palestine is the “Promised Land” for the Israelites; then why could they not own even a single inch of the land of Palestine for such a long time? The reason for this is that they kept coming and going as travelers and strangers and they kept taking refuge in Palestine in times of need.  Everyone knows that a traveler does not become the owner of the place he travels to or a refugee takes refuge in. (Al-Quds Qadiyah, compiled by Muslim, pp. 50-51).

Jews have no Right to Palestine

Jews have no right to the land of Palestine. The reason for this is that this land was given to the Children of Israel at a time when they, under the leadership of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah (peace be upon them), raised the banner of the Oneness of Allah and steadfastly stood firm on the Monotheism and the Messenger ship. When they deviated from the message of Monotheism and the Messenger ship, changed the message of Allah, killed many prophets (peace be upon them) and spread corruption in the land; then their humiliation and misery began.

They were humiliated and expelled from Palestine. They were enslaved by some of the rulers of that time and expelled from Jerusalem. This was a kind of punishment that was given to the Children of Israel at that time, then the Jews no longer had any right to Palestine.

Muslims are the True Followers of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (AS):

After the prophethood and mission of Sayyiduna Muhammad (AS), Muslims are the true bearers of the Oneness of Allah and the true inheritors of the Prophetic legacy. Muslims are the only nation that believes in the Oneness of Allah and is conveying the call and teachings of the Prophets and Messengers (AS) to the people. The call of Islam is in fact a continuation and extension of the call of Sayyiduna Ibrahim, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, David, Solomon, Jesus and other prophets (AS), so after the Children of Israel deviated from the call of these prophets (o), now the Muslims are the most deserving of their legacy.

It is an important point that the land of Palestine was not given to the Children of Israel because of their belonging to a particular race; therefore, the issue of asserting the right to the land of Palestine is not related to color and race, but rather it is related to following the method and procedure of these prophets (o);  Therefore, Muslims believe that the capital of these prophets (o) is the capital of Muslims, their work of calling is the work of calling Muslims, their history is the history of Muslims, and since Allah Almighty gave the opportunity to rule over this holy land to the descendants of Abraham (peace be upon him) and his followers, now Muslims are more deserving of ruling over this land; because today the real followers of Abraham (peace be upon him) are Muslims. Those who call themselves Jews today are not followers of Abraham (peace be upon him).

Allah says:

“Ibrahim was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a Hanif Muslim, and he was the first of the polytheists.” The people of Ibrahim for those who follow him and this is the Prophet and those who believe and Allah and for the believers” (Al-Imran: 67-68).

Translation: “Ibrahim (peace be upon him) neither they nor were neither Jews nor Christians, but (of course) those who were on the straight path (i.e.) followers of Islam. And they were not (also) polytheists. Indeed, the most excellent of all people were with (Hazrat) Abraham, those who followed him, and these are the Prophets (peace be upon them), and these are the believers, and Allah is the Supporter of the believers.’’ The interpretation of this verse is: “The Jews used to say that Hazrat Abraham (peace be upon him) was a Jew; therefore we cannot abandon Judaism, the Christians used to call Hazrat Abraham (peace be upon him) a Christian, both of these things were clearly against reason and established historical facts; because Judaism and Christianity only came into existence centuries after Hazrat Abraham (peace be upon him).

The Holy Quran has warned against this ignorance here and has stated that the basic thing is that Hazrat Abraham (peace be upon him) was the standard-bearer of monotheism and hated and abhorred polytheism. If you really want to adopt the Abrahamic way;  So, hold fast to the religion of monotheism, which Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), is calling upon.” (Easy Interpretation of the Quran, Part 1, p. 247). Let’s look at another verse of the Holy Quran and see what Prophets Abraham and Jacob had advised their children and are today’s Jews following this advice?!  The Holy Quran says: “And this is what Abraham enjoined upon his sons, and Jacob, my son. Indeed, Allah has chosen for you the religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims.” (Al-Baqarah: 132).

Deserving of the Imamate and Leadership of Prophet Abraham (P.B.U.H)

Recite one more verse of the Holy Quran and consider whether to be deserving of the Imamate, leadership and legacy of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) is it sufficient to be a descendant of his or is it necessary to follow him?  The Holy Quran says: “And when Abraham was tested by his Lord with certain words, and He fulfilled them, He said: “Indeed, I will make you a leader for mankind.” He said: “And of my offspring, He said: ‘My covenant will not be fulfilled by the wrongdoers.’” (Al-Baqarah: 124)‘’.

Jerusalem - Who Are The Rightful Owners of Palestine

The commentary on the above verse states: “The second thing is that Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) had two sons, Prophet Isaac and Prophet Ishmael (peace be upon him). The son of Prophet Isaac (peace be upon him) was Prophet Jacob (peace be upon him), who’s other name was Israel. Before the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), the line of prophethood was continued among his descendants, namely the Children of Israel, on the basis of which they believed that only they had the right to lead the whole world.

No other generation could have a prophet who was obligatory for them to follow. The Holy Quran has here removed this misconception and made it clear that the position of religious leadership is not an obligatory inheritance of any family, and this was stated in clear words to Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). When Allah Almighty tested him in various ways and it was proven that he was always ready for the greatest sacrifice at every command of Allah Almighty, he was thrown into the fire as a reward for his belief in monotheism, he was forced to leave his homeland, he was ordered to leave his wife and new-born child alone in the dry valley of Mecca and he continued to make all these sacrifices without thinking, then Allah Almighty announced that he would be given the position of leadership over the whole world.

At the same time, when he asked about his children, he was clearly told that those among them who would be unjust, that is, those who would disobey Allah Almighty and wrong their own souls, would not be worthy of this position. After centuries of testing the Children of Israel, it has been proven that they are not worthy of being given the religious leadership of all humanity until the Day of Judgment, so the Prophet of the End Times (peace be upon him) is now being sent to the descendants of the second son of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), namely Prophet Ishmael (peace be upon him), for whom Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) had prayed that he be sent from among the people of Mecca.

Now that the religious leadership is being transferred, the Qiblah is also going to be made to the House of Allah, which Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) and his son Prophet Ishmael (peace be upon him) had built. (Easy Translation of the Quran with Explanations, Vol. 1, p. 94). This makes it clear that Allah Almighty informed Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) that the “Imam and leadership” would not be given to the oppressors and disobedient people from his lineage and family.

Today, those who call themselves from the Children of Israel are disobedient to the divine command; While Muslims are a community that follows the command of Allah, therefore, the rightful leader and leader of them will be a Muslim.

Arab Muslims are also Descendants of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (AS)

If it is assumed that the promise that Allah Almighty made to Sayyiduna Ibrahim (AS) is for people related to his lineage; then it is not right for the Children of Israel to limit it to themselves, because Sayyiduna Ibrahim (AS) also had a son, Sayyiduna Ishmael (AS). Based on this assumption, Sayyiduna Ishmael’s lineage (AS) also became eligible for the promise that was made to Sayyiduna Ibrahim (AS). Then all those Arabs who are descendants of Ismael (AS) through their great-grandfather Adnan also became eligible for the promise.

From the same Adnan family is the Quraysh and from the same tribe of Quraysh is the Prophet Muhammad (AS) and today’s Muslims follow Muhammad the Arab (AS). It is also very interesting that the promise of this land of Palestine was made to Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) at a time when only Hazrat Ishmael (peace be upon him) was born among the children of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and this promise was made to him at the time of Ismael’s (peace be upon him) purity and innocence, and fourteen years after his birth, Sayyiduna Isaac (peace be upon him) was born; therefore, in this respect too, the Arabs are more deserving of this promise; Because through Ishmael (peace be upon him), Abraham (peace be upon him) is also the great ancestor of the Arabs.

Not only that, but the Holy Quran has presented Abraham (peace be upon him) as the father of all Muslims: “He has chosen you and placed no hardship on you in religion. You followed the religion of your father Abraham. He was the one who submitted to you before and in this.” (Al-Hajj: 78). “Always remain steadfast in the religion of Allah. Allah has named you Muslims before (the revelation of the Quran) and in this (Quran) as well”.

The Rightful Owners of Palestine

As far as the rule of the land of Palestine is concerned; the rule of the Israelites in Palestine was for a short period and the most important period was the period of the rule of Sayyiduna Solomon (peace be upon him). Now, as for the rule of Muslims in Palestine; that was the period of the Caliphate of Umar, i.e. from 636 AD to about 1917 AD. During this long period, the Crusaders ruled for 88 years. After deducting this 88-year period, Muslims ruled Palestine for about twelve centuries. It is also worth mentioning that a large number of Jews migrated from Palestine in 135 AD.

When Palestine came under the control of Muslims, there were no Jews there at that time. Thus, for about eighteen centuries, the Jews had no connection with Palestine; while the Arab Palestinians were the inhabitants of Palestine before the Jews, then after them, and still are. In the early twentieth century, during the British Mandate for Palestine, Jews were brought from other countries and settled in Palestine under a conspiracy.

Arabs have been living in Palestine for almost four and a half thousand years and have not left this land and migrated to any place; therefore, Arabs are the original inhabitants of Palestine. When the time came to establish the usurping Zionist state in 1948, the Zionists crossed all limits of oppression and forced a large number of Palestinians to migrate. The Palestinians whom the Zionists forced and drove out of Palestine in 1948 have not given up their rights even today; rather, they are waiting for an opportunity to return to their homeland, Palestine.

Today’s Jews have no Connection with the Israelites and Palestine

Historically, an important question is whether today’s Jews are the same Israelites whose ancestor is the great prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). The short answer to this question is: “No”, because some Jewish researchers and historians have researched that more than eighty percent of today’s Jews have no connection to the Israelites or Palestine. Among them is a Jewish historian like Arthur Koestler, who wrote a book: “The Thirteenth Tribe: The Khazar Empire & Its Heritage”.

This book was published in 1976. The author of this book, Koestler, has proven that Ashkenazi Jews are descended from the Khazar people. This book makes it clear that “Ashkenazi Jews” are not from the ancient Israelites; rather, they are from the Khazar people, an ancient Tatar-Turkic people. Koestler’s research is that the Khazar people converted to Judaism in the 8th century AD.  When the Khazar Empire was falling apart in the 12th and 13th centuries AD, these people migrated to southern Russia and Eastern Europe, so if they are looking for their original homeland, they should go to southern Russia. (Al-Qadiyyah al-Falsiniyah: Historiographical Backgrounds and Contemporary Developments by Dr. Mohsen Muhammad Saleh, p. 27).

Conclusion

The summary of this discussion is that the Jewish claim that Palestine is the Promised Land has no significance for Christian scholars. The Israelites were a rebellious and disobedient people, they disobeyed Allah and His Prophets and Messengers and Allah punished them. Allah Almighty gave the land of Palestine to the Israelites when they raised the banner of monotheism under the leadership of the Prophets and Messengers (o) and when they disobeyed Allah, they did not deserve this land.

After the prophethood of Muhammad the Arab (peace be upon him), Muslims are the true bearers of the oneness of Allah; therefore, they are the true heirs of the prophetic legacy and the land of Palestine. To be entitled to the leadership, leadership and legacy of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him), it is not necessary to be a descendant of him; rather, it is necessary to follow him. Just as Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) is the great ancestor of the Israelites, similarly those Arabs who are descendants of Ishmael (peace be upon him) also have great ancestors.

Palestine was ruled by the Israelites for a short period; while the Muslims ruled for almost twelve centuries. More than eighty percent of those who claim to be Jews today are not Israelites; rather, they belong to the “Khazar” nation, an ancient Tatar Turkic people, who converted to Judaism in the eighth century AD. The descendants of the Canaanites, the Arabs, are the true inhabitants and rightful owners of Palestine; because they have lived in Palestine for four and a half thousand years.
