How can an Islamic society influence human society?

After assuming the office of prophethood, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised the voice of monotheism in a society immersed in polytheism and misguidance. In the polytheistic environment of Mecca, this voice of monotheism was extremely unfamiliar, and its impact was directly affecting the false religion inherited by the leaders of the infidels.

Therefore, a storm of opposition arose. The few individuals who responded to the voice of monotheism were given short lives. However, despite all these oppositions and persecutions, the caravan of monotheism continued to grow. Finally, an ideal Islamic society was formed in Medina.

The society of the Companions was a model Muslim society, and its innumerable distinctive features and qualities of perfection influenced the entire world, and as a result, Islam spread from the East to the West, and the circle and scope of Islam expanded and increased. With the passage of time, in the following centuries, the characteristics of that society began to decline, and then its effectiveness and popularity graph also went down.

Now, the current situation of Muslim society is that a moral plague has spread everywhere. The hypocrisy and blind imitation of European civilization, which was a model in terms of obscenity and nudity, materialism and animalism, have eroded all religious and moral values.

how can an Islamic society influence human society it is only when it adopts the salient features of the ideal society of the first century (the era of the Companions) and considers deviation from them as a sign of destruction for itself, just as the Companions of the Prophet considered giving up these features at any cost to be synonymous with destruction.

It is difficult to cover all the features of the society of the Companions, however, their clear titles are as follows:

) Firm belief and steadfastness in the position of truth

After accepting the truth from the depths of their hearts, the companions would attain such firm belief and such stability and independence in their position that no matter how much the opposing winds blew, no matter how many obstacles came, and no matter how much they were heated in the furnaces of suffering and difficulties, they would not be ready to show any flexibility or softness. No matter the cost of the enemies’ incitements and incitements or the actions of threats and intensifications, their position would not deviate at all.

2) The spirit of sacrifice

The secret of the success of social life lies in sacrifice and sacrifice. The society of the Companions was an ideal society of sacrifice . The Quran describes the spirit of sacrifice of the Companions with the words “And they prefer others over themselves, even if they themselves are in need.” There are countless stories of financial sacrifice in the biography of the Companions.

During the dangerous journey of the Prophet’s migration, despite the systematic planning of the enemies of Islam to kill the Prophet collectively, Hazrat Ali’s resting on the blessed bed of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and Hazrat Abu Bakr’s participation and sharing of life during the difficult journey of migration upon his request are unparalleled examples of sacrifice. Be it the occasion of battles, the occasion of protecting the Prophet, the occasion of protecting the religion, or the occasion of serving the nation, the records of the sacrifices and sacrifices of the Companions at every turn are There are, and it is quite clear what impact this spirit of the Companions had on human society deprived of Islam and how it came closer to Islam.

3) Benevolence and Compassion

The best of people is the one who benefits others. A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand people are safe. A believer is the one from whom people are safe and secure with regard to their lives and property. The most beloved servant of Allah is the one who treats His creatures well. On these foundations, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) established the Islamic society. The entire history of the society of the Companions bears witness to the fact that they always adopted this approach.

Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah was advised in the first meeting that you should never speak ill of anyone. He says that until the day I died, I neither spoke ill of a free person nor of a slave. A human being is a human being. I never uttered a harsh word even for a camel or a goat. Considering the pain of others as my own, rather feeling it more than my own pain, and always trying to benefit others was a distinctive feature of the society of the Companions.

4) Justice and Equality

The Quran wants a society of faith that upholds justice and is based on the path of equality. In the eyes of Islam, class differences and high and low are the curse and filth of ignorance. Cruelty and injustice are the biggest obstacles to world peace and the survival of humanity. The society of the Companions was walking on the path of justice and equality. In this society, every individual was a devotee of justice, even if it affected his own self or his parents and relatives.

Similarly, that society was exemplary in terms of equality and equality. The famous Ghassanid chief Jablah bin Ayham, who had converted to Islam, had a Muslim villager’s foot step on his apron during Tawaf, which he did so forcefully that his nose became crooked and blood started flowing. Hazrat Umar gave the decision that either satisfy the Bedouin or be prepared for retribution. Jablah wanted to make a deal of leniency, but Hazrat Umar  He said that Islam does not differentiate between king and donkey, its law is the law of general equality, finally Jabla took some time, and fled overnight and became a Christian again, but Hazrat Umar did not touch the Islamic law of justice and equality.

5) Unity and brotherhood

The society of the companions was like a single body in mutual affection and love, and in mutual unity and solidarity, their condition was like a “solid foundation” of lead-coated wall. The long civil war between Aws and Khazraj and the series of killings and bloodshed were transformed by the blessing of Islam into mutual love and affection in such a way that even the hypocrites and Jews could not create a rift in this solidarity. The society of the companions was free from religious things that caused differences, from all kinds of suspicions and unnecessary fears and from believing in rumors, and that is why it had a spirit of ideal unity and brotherhood, which greatly impressed and intimidated others.

6) Uniformity of word and deed

According to the clarity of the Quran, the contradiction between word and deed is an extremely hateful act in the eyes of Allah and a deadly poison for human society. The basic point of reforming society is that every individual should be a warrior of character. Hazrat Usman Ghani began his first sermon of the Caliphate by expressing the fact that today Muslims need a warrior of character, not a warrior of speech. The era of the Companions was distinguished by the uniformity of word and deed, and every individual of this society would first show what he said by acting on it, so its effectiveness was evident in the fact that people came in groups and took refuge in the folds of Islam.

7) Purity

Islam demands all-round purity from man. The society of the Companions was painted in the color of purity from head to toe. Their hearts and minds were free from false thoughts and internal diseases. Their eyesight was pure. Their food and clothing were pure. Their environment was free from oppression and nudity. Every aspect and corner of their individual lives was pure. Their language was pure. Their politics were also free from deceit. When the Arab nation came to know about the impurity and prohibition of alcohol, the entire Medina was cleansed of the curse of alcohol. The history of the Companions is a history full of countless examples of all-round purity.

8) Payment of Rights

Islam has imposed rights on the servants of God. There is a separate list of the rights of Allah, and a separate list of the rights of the servants. Rather, the payment of the rights of the servants has been given relatively more importance. The arrangement for payment of the rights of Allah and the rights of the servants is unparalleled in the lives of the Companions.

These are bright lines of the numerous characteristics of the Quranic, divine and faith-based society of the Companions. Therefore, it can be rightly said that an Islamic society cannot influence human society without adopting these characteristics and following the example of the Companions. It cannot benefit from success and happiness in its practical life.
