Education system in the era of the Prophet

Love for the personality and attributes of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a sign of the perfection of faith and the greatest of all blessings. If there is a deficiency or flaw in it, faith will be considered incomplete.  Love for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a source of inspiration for the believers.

 A close relationship with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a precious asset for a believer, and the heart of a believer cannot be empty of it.

 Allah Almighty says: “O Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Say to them clearly that if your parents, your children, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, your wealth that you have earned with hard work, your trade that you fear will decline, and your beautiful dwellings that you love (i.e. the beloved and desirable things of this world) are more beloved to you than Allah, His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and striving in the way of Allah, then wait until Allah Almighty carries out His command and decision, and remember! Allah does not guide the disobedient people.” (At-Tawbah: 24).

 Visiting Madina and Durood Shareef

When going to Medina, one should recite Durood Shareef abundantly on the way; rather, one should spend all the time remaining from the duties and necessities in it and develop great enthusiasm and enthusiasm and leave no deficiency in expressing love. If this condition does not arise on its own, then one should create it by force and take the form of lovers.

 The person whose nation one imitates is counted among that nation and should visit the holy places on the way and offer prayers in the mosques that are specifically attributed to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) or the Companions. One should not enter the mosques merely for the purpose of sightseeing and entertainment. Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Masood narrated from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that one of the signs of the Hour is that a person will pass through the length and breadth of a mosque and not offer prayers in it (Jam al-Fawaid al-Kabir).  Therefore, when visiting a mosque, one should recite two rak’ahs of Tahya al-Masjid, provided that the time is not makruh, and one should drink the water of the blessed wells on the way as a blessing.

Humility and Enthusiasm

When one reaches near Madinah, one should develop great humility and enthusiasm, and drive one’s vehicle a little faster and recite Durood and Salam abundantly.

When one sees Madinah and its trees become visible, one should pray and recite Durood and Salam, and it is better to get off the vehicle and walk barefoot, crying, and do as much courtesy and respect as possible. The truth is that a right cannot be fulfilled, but one should not neglect it as much as possible.

When one sees the walls of Madinah, after the Durood, if these supplications come to mind, would it be good? One should recite: O Allah!  This is the sanctuary of Your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). May it be a means of salvation for me from Hell, a cause of peace, and atonement for me from the reckoning?

Prophet’s Mosque

When one sees the Green Dome of the Prophet’s Mosque, one should contemplate its glory and honor, because it is the greatest place.

When one enters the city, one should first try to enter the Prophet’s Mosque. If there is any need, then after leaving it, one should immediately come to the mosque and visit it. However, it is better for women to visit it at night.

When one enters the Prophet’s Mosque, one should enter with the right foot first with great humility and reverence and recite this supplication while entering: O Allah! Send blessings and peace upon Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions. O Allah! Forgive my sins and open the doors of Your mercy.

If someone asks you to greet the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), then greet him in the following manner after your own greeting:

Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah!  On behalf of so-and-so, the son of so-and-so, who seeks your intercession with his Lord.

And if many people have asked to greet you and you cannot remember their names, then greet them all in this way: O Messenger of Allah! Peace be upon you from those who have advised me to greet you.

The blessed Face of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (may Allah be pleased with him)

After reciting the salutation on the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), stand in front of the blessed face of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (may Allah be pleased with him) and recite the salutation thus:

O Caliph of the Messenger! Peace be upon you, you are the companion of the cave and the journey, you are the confidant of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him); Abu Bakr Siddique (may Allah be pleased with him)! May Allah reward you with the best reward from the Ummah of Muhammad.

Salutation on behalf of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)

Then, reciting the salutation on behalf of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), stand in front of the blessed face of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and recite the salutation: O Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him), the Commander of the Faithful! Peace be upon you, the Imam of the Muslims!  Allah has honored Islam through you, may Allah be pleased with you, may Allah reward you with the best reward from the Ummah of Muhammad in both life and death.

Both of these gentlemen have the power to reduce or increase the words of greeting, and if someone has asked you to convey his greeting, then convey his greeting.

 He should spend most of his time in I’tikaf in the Prophet’s Mosque with the intention of performing the five daily prayers in congregation in the Prophet’s Mosque and should sit in the first row for the first Takbir. The reward of one prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque is one thousand times greater than that of any other mosque, according to the narrations of Bukhari and Muslim. Thus, Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The reward of one prayer in my mosque is one thousand times greater than that of any other mosque, except the Sacred Mosque. (Mishkat)

He should come to the Holy Shrine five times a day or whenever he has the opportunity and offer the Salam.

Entering Baqi’

Baqi’ is a cemetery in Medina, which is adjacent to the mosque on the eastern side. Countless companions and saints are buried in it. Entering Baqi’ and saying: Peace be upon you, if Allah wills, we will meet you. O Allah! Forgive the people of Baqi’! Forgive us and them.

 Then, after that, visit those whose traces are known, and greet Hazrat Uthman in this way: O Imam of the Muslims! O Third Caliph! O Dhul-Noorin! O two emigrants! O compiler of the Quran! O patient in adversity! O martyr of Medina! Peace be upon you and may Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
